A SIGNIFICANT WEATHER EVENT is starting to evolve across Southeastern Australia with a cold upper pool of air (Upper Low) and the formation of an intense and deepening East Coast Low (ECL) underway, which will result in plummeting temperatures, DESTRUCTIVE WINDS, DAMAGING WINDS, HEAVY RAINFALL leading to FLASH and RIVIRINE FLASH FLOODING over Gippsland areas of Victoria and VERY DANGEROUS BLIZZARD CONDITIONS and HEAVY SNOWFALL over the Alpine Region of both VIC and NSW. Such a event of this magnitude is only see once every 10-20 years in terms of the winds expected, while in terms of rainfall it be a once every 5-10 year event.
